The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 Chinese mainland state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, slipped 41.63 points to 10,995.51 points.

Real estate stocks ended mixed in the morning session. SOHO China Ltd<0410> ended flat at HK$4.97. Sun Hung Kai Properties<0016> went down 0.05% and closed at HK$99.65. Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd<0001> slid 0.43% to HK$92.8. Hutchison Whampoa Ltd<0013> fell 1.52% to HK$52. Hopson Development Holdings Ltd<0754> swelled 1.56% to HK$12.82. Henderson Land Development Co Ltd<0012> rose 0.67% to HK$45.25. Agile Property Holdings Ltd<3383> slid 1.05% to HK$11.36.

Oil stocks also ended mixed. CNOOC Ltd<0883><CEO> fell 1.92% to HK$9.72. China Oilfield Service Ltd<601808><2883> slipped 0.47% to HK$8.56. Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co Ltd<600688><0338><SHI> rose 0.74% to HK$2.69. CNPC (Hong Kong) Ltd<0135> grew 0.78% to HK$6.45.

Sinopec<600028><0386><SNP>, the largest refiner in Asia by capacity, rose 0.53% to HK$5.73. PetroChina<601857><0857><PTR>, the country's largest oil producer, sank 0.81% to HK$8.61.
